FINDING ALL YOUR PARTS
Harmonizing with the Five Points of the Seal are the five essential things which every true Witch needs to have: A Personal Mantra, your Secret Name, your Power Totem, your Personal Divinities and your Spirit Guide. While you gather these spiritual powers, you also begin to search for your Witch's Tools.
As with many things in the Kalimite magical philosophy, there is no initial starting point, no official first step. The student may already know some of these allies, others, none at all. The very best way we've found, through years of practice and the advice of Wise People from ages past, is to simply TRUST YOURSELF! The student should study ancient mythology, anthropology, archaeology and the literature and poetry of any people or culture which attracts your mind, the ones that call out to you. And, above all, remember: The World belongs to you. No, not literally; in terms of sacred duty or "dharma," YOU belong to the world. But all recorded civilizations are yours for the taking---but do not, REPEAT DO NOT get hung up on your "race" (i.e. skin-color) or your immediate ancestry. They are important, true; they should have some presence and an acknowledged influence on you (and, therefore, your life and your magic), but the full-blood Lakota may feel more drawn to the Norse or Celtic Gods and myths. An African-American may become Kalimite and find themselves attracted to the Greek, Egyptian or Babylonian Gods, perhaps the Japanese or Chinese, while a blue-eyed blonde daughter of pure "white" bloodlines (with pedigree papers) finds that some Native American mysteries or the African Voodoo Loa, with all the Christianity removed, really fits her inner self.
The only person who can do this for you is you. Period.
I- THE PERSONAL MANTRA
This is both the easiest to learn AND the hardest to master. Many people like the Ultimate Mantra, "AUM," which is, technically, the Great Mother of all mantras and usable by anybody, at least as a start. Some religious groups (such as the Hare' Krishnas and Soko Gakkai, q.v.) require all members to use precisely the same mantra. The infamous (and almost totally worthless) Transcendental Meditation movement of the fake guru, Mahareshi Mahesh Yogi, used a pre-set chart which assigned the TM victim-I-mean-student a personal mantra based on their horoscope---nice idea, but way too artificial and much too limited. The Personal Mantra should come freely, it may be nothing more than a special sound or syllable. Many practitioners take a phrase in any human language which expresses "themselves."
It is VERY IMPORTANT that the Kalidas NEVER reveal their personal mantra to anyone, nor should any Kalimite ever seek to discover another's mantra. A true Kalimite, who overhears another's personal mantra by accident would be religiously obligated to keep their mouths shut.
II- THE SECRET NAME
This is another ancient name and should come from the same sources, generally speaking, as your mantra. It does NOT have to be the same mythology as your mantra at all, though. Your mantra might be "AUM nama Shivaya," a Sanskrit phrase, while your secret name might come from the Irish, the Mayans or the Vikings. It is customary for a Kalidas to find their Secret Name and ALSO to consciously choose another classic Pagan name, which is used among members of the Heathen Community and which is called the PIN or "Pagan Identity Name," which may be used and shared openly. The Secret Name, however, should be kept until the 8th or "Fool" Level, at which time the Secret Name is shared, as a part of the initiation into Lamed Oyin Lamed, The League of Leviathan. The Personal Mantra is NEVER shared with anyone.
III- YOUR PERSONAL DIVINITIES
You know them; you've seen them; or you will run into them less than thirteen days after reading this. Sorry; we jacked you, dude. EVIL Witchcraft, remember! Duh. But Kalimite Witches and Warlocks tend to start out as the kids who really like mythology, usually love science and cackle over the darker, more-controversial books and the nastier, usually-ignored parts of world history. Out of all that, there will be some mythological Divine entity, some archetypal ancestral image that just perfectly captures your inner self, which touches your heart and exemplifies your chosen life path. It is usually from your acknowledged ancestry: It tends to revolve around your chosen life-paths and, if it is a female, it will automatically have a mate, a mirror. Each Kalidas Witch has two personal Divinities. These images may be from completely different cultures; you might have a strong attraction to an Aztec male divinity, but your favored female divinity
